Do you ski, snowboard, or have you always wanted to give it a go? Whakapapa Classic is a camp for those in Year 11-13 and is the place you want to be these Winter Holidays! 

The iconic Scripture Union Lodge will be our home base when we’re off the mountain. It’s where we’ll play games, hang out, rest, and eat together. 

Whether you’ve been carving up the slopes since before you could walk or you’re a total beginner, whether faith is already part of your journey or you’re still figuring things out, this is a place where you can show up as yourself. Our leaders are here to make sure that your camp experience is awesome. We cater for all skill levels, what matters most is that you’re keen to get involved, push yourself a bit, and have an epic time. 

At camp we’ll open the Bible in a way that might feel different from what you’re used to. Together we’ll discover that it’s way more than just an old book, it’s packed with real stories, real people, and real moments that still speak into our lives today. You don’t need to show up with all the answers or pretend you’ve got everything sorted. Just come curious, ready to explore, and see what stands out to you. 

Not every day is spent on the slopes. When the weather turns yuck or your legs can’t handle another run down the mountain, we’ve got plenty of options: hot pools, hiking, rock climbing, or games back at the lodge. Being based in Whakapapa Village means there’s always something to do. 

Activity costs are a guide and mostly cover mountain‑related expenses. The amount varies depending on whether you already have a mountain pass or your own gear. It also includes petrol and rainy‑day activities like rock climbing or hot pools. Everyone pays an activity fee before camp, and any unused money is refunded.
